Fjuul Points express the energy cost of your physical activities. The Fjuul algorithm automatically converts your movement to universal units called METs, 'The Metabolic Equivalent of Task'. This forms the proper baseline to provide you with meaningful guidance and feedback, e.g. what is required to reach a healthy level of daily activity. It’s more appropriate than steps and calories to compare your different activities and to share your results and progress with your friends.

Example 1: home activities, such as cooking or serving food, light walking (~2.5 MET):
2.5 MET x 30 min = 75 but no Fjuul points, since MET < 3.0

Example 2: walking, moderate speed ~ 5 km/h (~5 MET):
5 MET x 30 min = 150 Fjuul points

Example 3: running, ~ 10 km/h (~10 MET):
10 MET x 30 min = 300 Fjuul points
